Troubleshooting: Common DGME Login Problems

Below, I have highlighted the questions most commonly asked by employees in the Reddit community. We have tried to provide accurate solutions. Let’s look at these issues and how they can be resolved:

Password Not Working

Employees are often sure that their password is correct, but sometimes even the correct password is shown as invalid, with the message “Credentials could not be validated.” The solution is to call the ERC and request a password or account reset. Some users had to register again as new users. This may be a bug on the DGME portal.

Forgotten Password

If you forget your password and cannot complete the self-service reset process, follow the password reset process mentioned above.

Security Answers Rejected

Sometimes, you enter the correct answers to your security questions, but the system still marks them as incorrect. In this situation, do not make repeated attempts. Call the ERC and request an account reset.

Personal Information Not Verified

Employees have reported that even after entering their details on the forgotten password form, the system displays an “Information cannot be verified or validated” error. Request a reset from the ERC. You may also need to complete the first-time or new-user registration process again.

Account Locked

An employee’s account may become locked after multiple incorrect login attempts. Inform your manager or the ERC and request an account reset.

Wrong Employee Number Used

A common mistake is using the four-digit cashier or register number instead of the seven-digit EID, which results in an incorrect login attempt. Use your seven-digit Employee ID. If you do not know your EID, follow our “How to Retrieve Your DGME EID” steps.

New Employee’s EID Is Not Active

Remember that immediately after hiring, a new DGME user’s Employee ID may not have been issued or activated in the system. Therefore, the employee’s first login attempt may fail. Wait 24–48 hours and set up the account through the first-time user process.

Former Employee Account Inactive

After leaving the company, the EID may become inactive, the associate email may be missing, or the login credentials may appear invalid. Try registering again on the updated Paystub Portal. If registration fails, request paper pay stubs from Dollar General.

Authenticator/MFA Error

Sometimes, error code 100 appears even after entering the Microsoft Authenticator code. Obtain the Authenticator QR code or manual code from Workvivo or StoreNet. Use the email verification code if it is available.

Correct DGME Login Page Not Found

Employees may also face an issue where Google search results show the EID retrieval page or Paystub Portal instead of the DGME login page, leading them to the wrong page. Visit the official DGME page directly: https://websso.dolgen.net/ssoa/default.aspx?siteid=72
